The Camino

Carpe Diem Special #75, Pilgrimage to Santiago De Compostela or The Way of St. James
is about the Camino de Santiago, The Way of St James, also just called The Camino (camino means way). My son walked it one year. One of the amusements he shared on Facebook, was collecting all the ways one can say, ‘I’m going for a shit.’ Apparently a frequent topic among western tourist pilgrims. He did meet a few extraordinary folk, and a lot of ‘I can get there faster than you’ people, and over all had such a wonderful time that he talked his girlfriend into doing it too. Seems rather superficial, but in fact one doesn’t undertake something like that without it actually having an effect.
