Angel Wings

In the end there’s nothing worth anything,
except love. It transports us from the grey
of daily life and gives us angel wings.

from the lips an old man
a kiss on the baby’s scalp

last light in their white hair
the old couple on the headland

after love-making
gentle strokes
of moonlight

  1. This is so delightful and beautiful. I really just got swept up in your words. I love the part about kissing the top of a baby’s head. Something I would still do if my teens would allow it. 🙂
